Mac people. Problem playing WMV's??
What do you mac guys use to play to WMV's.
I've got someone with a new macbook and they are using Flip4Mac but when they open a WMV file it says "not a video file" Any ideas? As far as I can tell the videos have no DRM. Files are being downloaded via Safari. |
never hady any problems with flip4mac

Thanks, I'll tell them to try VLC.

VLC x 3.. I use it for both windows and Mac
|
VLC is a must, install perian as well for all those random codecs you'll run into. Flip4Mac is okay but not the greatest.
|
The video file might be newer than the F4M codec. Make sure he's using an up-to-date version, as there have been several updates to it.

VLC.. that's what I use for PC and MAC

sometimes certain files will only play in the Windows Media Player 7 for OSX i have found.

flip for mac. though you can also used handbrake to convert the file in question into various versions of mp4 (very useful for loading up videos and ripping dvds for your ipod/iphone)...
