send invoices to clients with wordpress

WP-Invoice lets WordPress blog owners send itemized invoices to their clients. Ideal for web developers, SEO consultants, general contractors, or anyone with a WordPress and clients to bill. The plugin ties into WP?s user management database to keep track of your clients and their information.

Once an invoice is created from the WP admin section, an email with a brief description and a unique link is sent to client. Clients follow the link to your blog?s special invoice page, view their invoice, and pay their bill using PayPal. The control panel is very user-friendly and intuitive.

Why is stuff like this even made for wordpress? Personally, I use OnTheJob, which tracks time, cost per hour, and shows me what I'm making in real time. Then it can export the invoice in pdf, txt, and xml format.

#1 problem with this:

NO ENCRYPTION IS PROTECTING THE PERSONAL DATA WHATSOEVER!

Granted, I'm sure you could still use this plugin over SSL...do you really think all these wordpress users even know how to setup an SSL connection let alone use it? I predict many security issues caused by the users (WP admins) inadvertently allowing the world access to their customer data (even if it is just simply submitted straight to PayPal). :2 cents:
