I opened a Facebook profile recently, just for a goof. Frankly, I think it may be more trouble than it's worth.

You have girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, lovers, or potential lovers all stalking your page a lot more than you think they would....here's the big question:

i already stopped using myspace, soon I'll stop on facebook. weird when random family members find u and start commenting on ur life.

Forget the exs stalking you, I worry more about the new ones I meet on there..

Facebook, people who you dont really know, suddenly want to be your friend on facebook,
when in real life you never really gave them the time of day..:disgust

I think facebook id worse because it's easier for people to follow your tracks or what they think are your tracks.

Before the recent update on myspace I would've said facebook... but now they are both pretty equally intrusive...

Everytime I wipe my ass myspace and facebook both no somehow..

deleted that fucking facebook account after finding out the page is #1 on google for my name.

You get more personal comments from other people that may be close to you on it.

That's fuel for a stalker's fire.

Myspace is full of comments from folks you may only kinda know so it's not as personal.

Use linkedin - keep it very professional and people won't find shit about you.

You know that you could have just clicked a check box to keep your profile from being indexed.


The only things that come up for me on google are my company, magazine articles I have been quoted in, Linked In, Naymz and I'm guessing Twitter will show up soon.

I killed my myspace for no real reason except the trend wore off for me and I refuse to have a facebook.

I have accounts on both,but question is there sense to have it since i am not communicating with anyone there.Plus i noticed profile on google when typing my name and last name.

Haven't used myspace for over a year and not planning to use any of those for any personal presentation ever.

Apart from the belief it's a great source of data about a whole mass of users for certain government organizations, the real problem is the mere amount of weirdos that were contacting me - a producer of a non existing horror movie issuing daily press releases, a woman with pathologic obsession to frogs, a shitload of spam etc. Not worth the hassle.

I want to help my buddy from childhood to promote their band, so that's when I plan to revisit these, I'll check for the internet freak of the year and post some examples.

facebook has already gotten me in trouble with girls maybe 45 times. makes it harder to lie, girls write on your wall, post pics they shouldn't, etc...

I canceled facebook a few months back after a slew of ex's found me. Myspace will be the next to go if I get the same shit there. I say fuck em both.

I have a friend who died over some shit to do with Bebo.

I will always hate social network sites all my life for that reason alone. I hated them before it happened anyway, i don't get why people want to expose everything about themselves to any random person... :disgust

I go crazy at my girlfriend at some of the shit she puts on here page. Don't even know why i bother though...

Ii think its Facebook for sure since I already had to delete my personal one and separate it from my work life.I don't need my lil cousins, sister and anties seeing some of my trade show pics. Facebook breeds certain personality traits you didnt even know you had.

I have spent way to much time on them. Im just curious to know how my old freinds are doing. ok ok thats a lie ....its funny to see the popular girls all fat, the quiet girl with 38 kids, the jock with ugly girl etc.

I have seen homes wrecked because of MySpace. The wife hooked up with someone she found on MySpace and the husband found out and now the house two doors from me is vacant...

I'm obsessed w/ facebook but it's the only way my friends and family can keep up w what I'm doing back home. saves me the trouble of calling htem and repeating myself 50 times lol!

Hahaha that's exactly the reason I use myspace. "Where have you been the past 5 months?" I can just say "Go read my myspace. It's a long story. Let me know if you have any questions" lol

I don't phish accounts or anything crazy like that, I just post a buncha crazy bulletins and blogs with my banners at the bottom. And whats up w the Jew bashing? I don't get it..
