Extreme Metal Japanese Chicks like Burzum and Amebix

Love the band Gallhammer, these Japanese girls are awesome, in the interview Vivian says that her influences are Burzum, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, and Amebix

I heard Vivian Slaughter (the tall hottie with the long hair) is currently dating Maniac (from Mayhem) now and is doing a side project with him that should be out soon

This band is unique and have a great sound, they are the real deal

they are actually very talented and trained in classical music, but I understand that for many it will be too different and extreme, especially if you are not used to the extreme genres

Phil 12-28-2008 09:34 PM

knowing how fucked up those japs the weirder the better thei think they are. I don't see anything special in their music.

spacedog 12-28-2008 09:36 PM

what are your favorite bands? do you understand the black metal and crust genres? someone might say "I love metal, AC/DC is my favorite band" and instantly their opinion would not be too relevant as to the quality of a band in an extreme genre.

I suspect that it is not just this band but the extreme genres that you don't like, and everyone has their own taste and opinion so that is ok

Her favorite bands are coincidentally bands that I have listened to for years so I was pleasantly surprised to find out about Gallhammer.

Hellhammer was groundbreaking when it came out, I remember hearing that demo tape and listening to it over and over again, it made a great theme music to turn up really loud with a terrible hangover and piss off the hung over roommates first thing in the morning/afternoon

I'll dig up an example of that great 80's metal from youtube

Celtic Frost of course legendary, I can't say these girls are not as talented as Tom G. but it doesn't matter because it is all good

ok, found one of the most important underground metal releases of the 80's, this is required listening for Metal 101, this was his band before Celtic Frost and are considered as one of the important founders and influences on many genres to come after to this day

Triumph of Death :thumbsup

( nothing better first thing in the morning at high volume if your roommate has a hangover and doesn't appreciate metal at all :1orglaugh )

well, it is crudely recorded and doom laden music to groan in agony to, but it is an important release in part of the evolution of metal

from those early releases, now these days we have the extreme genres going in many different directions and coming up with all kinds of excellent interesting stuff:

bufferover 12-28-2008 11:02 PM

Like the playing in that music but not their ideology. Burzum enough said

d-null 12-28-2008 11:23 PM

Gallhammer has nothing to do with Varg's view outside of his music, as far as Burzum's ideology IN his songs, it seems to me that it is mostly about paganism and christian oppression in history

if you list Black Sabbath as an influence does that automatically make your ideology the same as Ozzy?? :error

I'm not big religion believer but like to respect others views, we are same shit.. humans. They like to use some symbols and the guy from Burzum liked to burn churches, now i can understand his anger to the church and the things has done few centuries ago but that's still no excuse to that. Satanist are christian's too :) the strange thing is the term satanist didn't got any relation with christian religion, but time change the things

LoveSandra 12-28-2008 11:46 PM

i will chose for burzum with daudi baldars!
I know you like the girls more than their music you fucking pervert.

ZeroHero 12-29-2008 02:47 AM

Hellhammer, Bathory, Mayhem, Celtic Frost, Venom, Burzum are legendary bands, mainly Mayhem that are one of the most influents bands in Black Metal scene until today, by Dead and Euronymous (R.I.P)

Respect to: Dead, Euronymous, Manthas, Tom Gabriel, Attila, the true masters of doom... hehehe

bufferover 12-29-2008 08:01 AM

black/doom metal is one of the best music that i've heard when it comes drums/guitars, i just don't like the voice of some singers and the their costumes :)

The Duck 12-29-2008 09:04 AM

This sounds pretty good compared to grindcore.
