trying to find a good cam domain, seems no matter what I type its gone.. even if its really stupid sounding.

They aren't all gone. I just bought a nice two word niched domain. I also have a huge text file on my desktop full of domains that I will buy at some point. I like to think it over before jumping on a new project.

Keyword domains are pretty much impossible to find, but there's plenty of nice & brandable unregistered domains out there.

Make up a name. And an "s" and the word "cams" behind it. Then start branding it.
Examples: FranksCams.com, JohnsCams.com, BlahBlahsCams.com The name in the title will make it more personal. Your "owner's" personality will keep members. They'll feel they can identify with you (ala "Igor" on Voyeurweb) |

since it is an adult domain you are looking for, posting a budget limit of what you would pay on the adult forums is a good way to get domains offered to you
check sedo.com and do a search for your keyword check tdnam.com and do a search for your keyword there are others make sure you consider all the important valuation criteria for a domain, such as age and how google sees the domain, keywords, brandability, how perfect it fits your project, etc..... for me, how google sees the domain is hugely number one importance, and that covers alot of different possible variables you will have to figure out :2 cents: |

there are good deals around too, but you are right that some people are completely unrealistic I was bidding on a cheap domain a while back and stopped bidding at $140 or something, the domain ended up selling for $160, and a month or so later I saw it up for sale and the dude was asking $3000 :1orglaugh play around with the filters and sort functions on those sites and you can narrow down better what you are looking for, I like to look at the domains in auctions that are getting close to closing and you can see where the action is and jump in if you want :2 cents: |

i went through the same thing a month ago - spent hours and hours looking and thinking up cam domain names. .com - absolutely nothing left, the craziest out of the box names I cam up with usually had the .com gone.
i did think about .ME - a dude turned down a 3K offer i gave him - i might have even upped it to 5K, can't remember, i was emailing a bunch of different people with cam domain names. i eventually decided to pay the blood money for the domain I wanted. overpaid. but you never know with domain names. |

Thank god for the multidomain lookup tools like the one at namecheap or I would have to spend a decade looking for one domain when I go hunting.
