Which one do you like better, and why? I've never used Photoshop at any version. Wondering if I should check it out.

CGI 11-12-2002 05:00 PM

Photoshop 5.5 and Photoshop 7 (depending on which machine I'm on at the moment), ImageReady, Thumbplus, Thumbnailer, Arles... umm... probably more, but those are the main ones.

Chapter7 11-12-2002 05:04 PM

Macromedia, Corel R.A.V.E and Photopaint, Adobe ps

marty 11-12-2002 05:50 PM

Corel Draw 7.0
Photoshop 5.0 & 7.0
PaintShopPro 5.00 & 7.0
Rhinoceros 1.0
IrfanView 3.61

And 3 others I haven't touched in years

bawdy 11-12-2002 05:57 PM

photoshop for bitmap... freehand these days for vector though i used to like illustrator better... and fireworks for slicing

Chapter7 11-12-2002 06:06 PM

I'm the only designer i know who uses Corel Photopaint and Draw rather that Adobe, i still use Adobe sometimes but not nearly as much as i use Corel.
I have always used Corel so when i need to put my mind on the screen fast it and it does what i what i want it to do. I only use Adobe if there is an effect i need to use on my objects.

about a year ago Lensman offered me a job at Adult.com, but the lead designer and everyone else there uses Adobe :(

Now that i think back i should've just learned Photoshop

Photoshop 7.0 here as well.

PaintShopPro may do what you want and will have less of a learning curve than PhotoShop. For making thumbnail pages (thumbs + HTML), ThumbsPlus is quick and easy.
