So how's everyone's business?

Is the industry still slowly heading down?

Just curious :)

DebsDeep 12-27-2008 10:59 AM

Actually picked up some for us...I dunno why

Barefootsies 12-27-2008 11:07 AM

Some things up.
Some things down.
Just like any other month.

WarChild 12-27-2008 11:15 AM

Fucking booming.

CrazyHunk 12-27-2008 11:21 AM

last year $2000. This year barely $200 :(:(:(

skrinkladoo 12-27-2008 11:22 AM

Doesnt really matter your post count on this one. Some people have been on easy street way to long.

This is nothing new to those who have been developing on the internet since the mid 90's. Bubbles pop, trends come/go, web 1 - 2.0. From a mainstream perspective the adult industry always lead the way for the developing internet. Now, that has nearly stopped. Adult industry cant take a complete dive into 2.0, due to 2257 - and innovation is minimal from the adult community.

Truth is this industry will never die, it will just evolve. Reality check - the old timers of the industry are right "It's Not the Good 'ol Days", shit - this means your gonna have to actually work for the money. All part of evolution - saturation, is just like over population. Some say tube sites are the cancer. Others speculate its xsells. Even wilder - I've seen people on GFY blaming bad webmaster programs tactics. Its all speculation in the end, no one has a crystal ball - but i would bet (rather i know) this industry will never die - just evolve. So if the real question is will YOU be the industry much longer turning a profit - its back to evolution. Will you evolve? Can you evolve?

So yeah, it's going pretty good

Cash 12-27-2008 11:44 AM

Bad for me ... :(

hahmike 12-27-2008 11:49 AM

Sales have never been better.

I'm averaging $65 per sale and converting under 1:25 raw from exit consoles on Chinese warez sites.

See sig for sponsor link.

SilentKnight 12-27-2008 11:53 AM

Sales have been through the roof for Nov. and Dec. - plus with the more lucrative currency exchange from USD to Can. - we're smilin' once again.

But yeah...its all just trends we've been through for the past decade. Been there/done that many times over. We just persevere.

I'm saying those who are (especially affiliate programs) will not reply

jmcb420 12-27-2008 12:11 PM

my programs have been slow to get off the ground because im lazy, so im in the red there. On the other hand 2008 was a really good year for all my TGP's and their sales, so i'm not doing bad.
I should say though, if I wern't so god damn lazy i'de be rolling in the cash. 2008's lesssons were: NEVER lend money for anything to anyone and, dont be fucking lazy.
Good* year all around, except for being lazy.

I will admit that sales the past two days have been very nice compared to a VERY slow december. Most proggie owners will never see this thread so its kinda hard to comment on who would say what. I can tell you the past two days have done a ton for my confidence in the adult industry. Almost like the good old days.

I could not agree more as well. Same whiny bullshit everyday in here. Roll with the changes and be innovative.

Aside from one of my dedicated servers failing without any backups (115 sites, roughly 30% of my network is down), December was still an amazing month. Sales since Christmas eve have been rocking. Even with 30% of my network currently down my earnings are up about 20% from last month.

I am pretty new...so not that good yet. I told my wife I will try this for a couple of years...so far it is a lot of work...but still more fun then getting a second job.

I realized that my personal favorite niche Japanese does not seem to convert into sales very well? So I might have to try some differnet ways to convert or just mix it up with other niches.

Where you at in the BX?

IllTestYourGirls 12-27-2008 04:26 PM

Good December. Ratios are pretty bad but I managed to drum up more traffic.

jscott 12-27-2008 04:29 PM

Libertine, who's the girl in your avatar????

Also, this industry will always be heading downward :(

Its not heading down it has spread out. This recession should get rid of a lot of webmasters and those who make it should see their market share go up.

I lived in the Bronx as a little boy with my mom & dad and we all also lived in my grandmother and grandfather's house, right near Castle Hill Avenue & the Cross Bronx Expressway. Was just looking through some old photo albums at my parent's house over Christmas and it brought back a lot of memories.

billywatson 12-27-2008 06:07 PM

We had one of our better days for initials just yesterday...and yea, we're evolving!

Da Bronx is not so bad...John Gotti was born in the Bronx. :)

I lived here 41 years...you just need to be a little street smart. Just recently I feel it might be time for a change...but 15 minutes from Manhattan and 2,500 outdoor handball courts...can't beat that. If I did not have family in the Bronx and Westchester...I would love to live somewhere in Orange County California, I was out there in October and could just imagine having Palm trees in my yard. The wife just told me last week she wants a 2 bedroom...and start a family...so it might be soon to leave this rat race of a city. If we stay in NY she wants to live where the taxes are insane...Westchester or Long Island. shhees instead of hanging out on GFY...I better keep making web pages. :helpme
