seems like California is not the place to buy a house right now eh :winkwink:

seriously tho, im hoping prices come down to an almost normal price in LA, it would be nice to own a condo for less than $600k

munki 12-23-2008 11:16 AM

Noice to see Orange County representing again... lol...

I think technically we stopped counting anaheim and santa ana as ours a long time ago.

True dat.

Hopepfully the housing out there gets back to reasonable prices. I am sure it will still be higher than the midwest, but something under a half mil for a decent place bigger than a bread box would be nice.

I was thinking the same thing, expecting Phoenix to be right near the top. Maybe they are anticipating a turnaround the second half of 09.

Was just browsing around on yahoo real estate. I could pick up a 4b/4b 1,800 - 2,300 sqft house in Highlands Ranch CO (ritzy area) for $200k.

Man I hope this shit stays like this for just a couple more years.

I was shocked at the prices and all the billboards trying to sell condos in Miami way back in August. Makes me wonder what the prices are like right now. I am very tempted to pick up some property down there in the coming months.

AK 12-23-2008 06:30 PM

So... I just moved from LA to Stockton... woo hoo... i moved down on the list... LOL

i was watching some real estate show (i cant recall the name) and they were in miami talking to "condo vultures" who come in and bargain low with condo sellers trying to take advantage of the situation.

One guy bought his condo for 2.2mill and about 1-2 years later was trying to sell for $999,999 OUCH. :Oh crap

they were talkin about how they would throw "condo buying parties" and hire fake paparazzi and have champagne and make the people coming to buy the condo feel like a celeb.
