War against Iraq - possible scenario?

Say the US launches an attack on Iraq. (probable)
In a desperate act, Saddam launches a nuclear/bio/chem attack on Israel.
Israel retaliates, with a nuke in downtown Baghdad.

India/Pakistan uses the confusion to nuke eachother.
How probable is this? I'd say it's within reason.

I don't think that Saddam's generals are going to follow orders and do the bio move on Israel. That is suicide and they know this time we are dead serious about taking out Saddam, and will bet with us and take the risk we will topple him before he can execute his guys that don't carry out the orders.

I think we have this one very well planned out. And its going to be the fastest and most furious quick takedown of a country's power structure. The good thing about countries like Iraq is its like a snake, you don't have a democracy, just one egomaniac to neutralize, so you go for the head and slice it off.

There is a lot at stake, in terms of oil wealth, and all you need to do is bribe someone in the know who will let the CIA know where he is at when it all starts.

i would guess that there is absolutely no scenario that would warrant a nuclear assault on a major city by anyone. He only has about 2 dozen missiles as it is. The technology to stop them in-flight is significantly greater today than it was 11 years ago when the US military first tested the Patriot missiles.

another issue is that it is within reason that most of those 2 dozen missiles are not in working condition. there is a shelf life.

I don't think India and Pakistan would be that confused that they would launch nukes at eachother just because Isreal and Iraq did, both of them know they're fucked if either one launches nukes at the other. It's like a mini-cold war between them.

Probably 90% of the world and a high % of Americans think there is no reason to attack Iraq, IF Iraq follows the UN resolutions.

Its clear Bush wants to fight no matter what, and its about the oil. He needs to look like the "good guy" while attacking and that isn't possible if Iraq accepts the UN resolution.

I think Iraq will allow UN inspections and then America won't be able to attack without being hated by the world.
There will be no war in Iraq.

The CIA actually said they didn't think Saddam was gonna launch such an attack, unless he was attacked, in which case they considered it very likely.

It would sure solve a lot of the worlds problems though if they did all nuke eachother.

India is gonna have something like 1.4 billion people in 20 years time. Oh well at least there learning IT, cheap programming for everyone.
