Online Poker... Questions...

So - is it or is it not legal to facilitate an online poker account with a us based credit card?

Is online poker truly illegal and punishable?

I mean i remember the laws passing last year and people panicing but ive also heard people playing daily without an issue.

Also, I watch late night TV a lot while working and Who has seen poker after dark on nbc. They fully promote full tilt poker. Im sure its who is putting the show on. They promote people coming and playing.

Now are they saying to everyone... hey come play for free, dont mind the real money poker...

Whats the scoop?

Where is 2bet? He should know this shit by heart...

I don't see how they could ever enforce a law that says Americans can't gamble online from their own homes. I see tons of Americans on Full Tilt and Poker Stars all the time.

tons of people play, i've used my us based CC to play. they use offshore processors to allow the cc's to go through. If using FT, let me know and i'll refer you..:)

Right - exactly - but i want to hear from people that either tdo load their accounts straight from credit cards.

Or is it legal after all?

If not how do you go about it? Im not necessarily interested myself, I might plunk a few bucks if it is kosher, but this all came in a conversation I was having with a friend. I know some laws passed making it "illegal" but yet like you said, there are tons of people playing online every day...

Is it like torrents? illegal but everyone does it and very rarely someone gets arrested or charged?

or is it a bunch of gray fog blurring the laws?

WHAT IS THE REAL STORY?!?!?

I wouldnt say 2257 is that vague...

Not if you read it yourself... especially with the late revisions that are actually moving our way to TRULY help all of us instead of just blaming us for CP...
