Are you able to cook it? It takes some skill.

Beef like that is wasted on somebody who can't cook.

Get four friends together and buy half a cow from an importer instead. It will cost you roughly the same amount and you'll end up with a variety of cuts.

twice a year.. Christmas is one of those times, I do a bone in prime rib baked in a kosher salt crust that is the bomb.

Spunky 12-20-2008 07:51 PM

Can I come over for dinner?

HomerSimpson 12-21-2008 03:05 AM

$2,3K for beef!?!??!

SarahLLO 12-21-2008 03:46 AM

Wow. Make sure to tell us how it is.

I'm just making some Nigella Lawson stuff (poussins with couscous) for Christmas Eve. We aren't doing Christmas proper until mid-January for a bunch of weird reasons, and then I'm going to do the Alton Brown brined turkey, since that's supposed to be the be-all end-all turkey recipe and I already did my roast sherry duck for Thanksgiving.
