MAC software. I need the following...

I need a good DVD ripper.
I need a good encoding tool that's capable of WMV and H.264 encodes.

What are they called, how much are they and where can I get them?

Also... does trillian work on MAC?

Use Adium for your chatting needs, supports ICQ and all of the others...

stickyfingerz 12-19-2008 10:36 PM

I BELIEVE sorenson 5 works on mac. Thats the way to go if it does. Not researching for mac software for you though lol

Sosa 12-19-2008 10:39 PM

Adium is what you need for OS X since Trillian is being slow with their OS X release.

1. DVD ripper: Handbrake Handbrake
2. Final Cut Pro with Quicktime Pro, and Flip4Mac Pro for WMVHD encoding. FCP
Also FFmpeg is great for faster encoding from your highest bitrate .mp4 FFMPEG
3. The mac equiv. of trillian is Adium Adium

Use MPlayer

It gives really easy instructions on how to install all the required OSS, and then it is the dogs bollox for free encoding. :2 cents:
