nope normally i don't schedule my life around tv, because i usually have better things to do
my torrent box subscribes to an rss feed, and automagically downloads all the shows i want to watch commercial free, usually at night.

the problem with bbc canada is that the show actually airs based on it british air times.
it does run again next day at a more reasonable time. But by then i have already gotten the download via the torrent and watched it commercial free.


Basically i am admitting that this dr who sounds so interesting i will be staying late on christmas day to watch the dr who live rather then watch it the next day in the morning when i wake up.

normally i download the shows i would watch on tv, and watch them later in the week.

his posts are like heroin for you. you cant resist. lol

i will have to stay up 1 am to watch it live if it airs at 8pm in england

and then i will have to wake up at 5 am to get to the boxing day sales.

normally i get to bed early
wake up in the morning early copy the episode to my laptop and watch it while sitting in line

gideongallery...there is a much easier way to do it than your beloved thieving torrents...It's called Tivo or DVR Come on man, catch up with the rest of the world. lol

had a dvr was paying 15/month for that piece of crap

like your buddy mikesmoke it stopped recording early

it limited the number of tv shows i could record per day which sucked on mondays where to many good shows are played

since rating system doesn't count any of the commercials that are tivoed or pvr'ed anyway downloading a commercial free version instead does do any more economic damage than using a pvr.

Now i never miss a show ending, and never have to limit myself to number of shows the pvr is able to record at the same time.

oh and lets not forget the power going out and it losing all my settings
and missing all the shows it was supposed to tape.

my custom build torrent recorder is way better than tivo.
