I recently accepted an offer for employment that seemed perfect. However, due to the unstable global economy my new employer has determined they can't keep me. Long story short, they hired me internationally. From the time of hire to the time of my first invoice, my employer's currency had fallen so dramatically against my USD salary that I was priced right out of their budget. If you know of whom I speak, please keep it to yourself. I have no intention of drama, marring a good company?s name, or acting in an unprofessional way.
However, this situation leaves me out of work and terrified for the first time in my life, especially with the poor economy. I am utilizing my private industry network to try to gain employment. I'm also not too proud to post publicly here and weather any flak I gain from it. Yes, it is *really* embarrassing, but at least I'm trying to fix my situation.
Most recently I've worked as an affiliate manager. As the affiliate program mold becomes less powerful, I've also branched into site development, SEO, and traffic direction. From my production roots working at Playboy I'm also a capable content manager, photo retoucher, promo tool designer, and text writer. I'm familiar with both NATS and MPA, as well as a few custom solutions. I've never been much of a board whore, but I'd do it if it were called for as part of my employment. I'd rather focus on building solid affiliate relationships, or garnering new traffic sources on a house account.
I know I'm an asset to any company I join. I have a strong background in production, design and program management which gives me a very flexible & strong sales-plus skill set. I'm also unique and likable and I make a great impression at industry shows! If you know some place that needs me please let me know!
