If you are too lazy to ask them to change your account to the current $5.95 plan, I really canīt see how they are ripping you off. At least youīve got enough time to come here complaining.

Somehow shady to call them names when itīs most likely your own fault.:2 cents:

They probably won't change :)
At least not fast or easy, without sending them 1000 emails, opening 100 tickets etc..

For example: If you want to cancel your virtual account they will not answer your tickets or will answer very slowly (couple of days) just to keep you as long as possible. This is just dis-respect of their customers since if customer came to you - it's his decision and you should respect it. If customer wants to leave - it's also customers decision and they should respect it too...

I've heard very good things about their dedicated offer, but their virtual/shared is nothing but trouble...

V_RocKs 12-19-2008 05:36 AM

I have been using Servage.net for 2 years for virtual hosting.

They have pretty much left me alone and I do some annoying shit for most hosts to handle.

XX_RydeR 12-19-2008 07:18 AM

Did you try contacting them first?

It is not a good practice to not contact their existing clients and offer them to switch plans, but
still you could have simply contacted them.

WebairGerard 12-19-2008 08:02 AM

You can contact me or Chris and we will get you on a plan that BEST meets your needs.

Just so all here know, when we released new virtual plans months ago we emailed ALL clients regarding it in our newsletter and posted it here on GFY and other boards and even did a press release on it.

My contact info is in my sig, I will be happy to assist you. :)

Servage is a terrible host. A lot of my contacts are crying as soon they need support. You know that, I know that, we all know that. A monkey with an ethernet cable offers better service.

http://www.aboutus.org/Servage.net Scroll down and see the real comments about them!!

DutchTeenCash 12-19-2008 09:00 AM

get a small ded box at mojohost, forget the 10 sites running on 4 dollar per month accounts, and all the mess from others blocking your box cause youre on virtual with 5000 other sites who take all sys resources

been there long ago and I can tell you switching to dedicated and mojo was the best dec ever

andy83 12-19-2008 09:02 AM

u should inform them and ask them to move you to the cheaper plan

Brad Mitchell 12-19-2008 09:09 AM

They're running a business, just like anyone else. It is understandable that you may be frustrated with some of their new pricing but at the same time not asking much that you reach out to them to discuss it. Many businesses as they keep moving forward release new products and pricing and especially in instances like this where they have invested a significant amount into their new virtual host platform it is much easier said than done asking them to go through and summarily write down bottom line margin re-rating the thousands of customers that they have. I am certain that there are some differences between the various plans and it wouldn't be wise of any host to make assumptions on their client's part and move them to a new environment with different plan details without first discussing.

Whether it's $5/month or $40/month clients are lucky that they even have access to speak with a Gerard, Mike or anyone. In the mainstream, you would have no such availability to do so at these rates.

Best of luck,

Brad

Many companies do that, not just hosts, in many situations new customers often pay less than old ones...:2 cents:

I found that Power levelings are the reliable Warhammer power leveling service. They are professional and leveling speed is very fast, otherwise, it is very safe. There is 24Hours Warhammer power leveling service and friendly online support. After our Warhammer power leveling service, I found that I enjoy this best gaming experience.
I know that our master players will not talk to anyone else when leveling our character, and they promise that they will not under any circumstance reveal our leveling service. At first, I was a little nervous about telling War power leveling my name account while leveling my character because account theft is a very real problem. However they take the security our game accounts very seriously. Thus my account is fully secure.
In addition the Warhammer online power leveling would like to stay in business for more than a few weeks to the fact that they are a company; I should take comfort in the fact that I only need my game ID and password to level my character.
Offensive side of the main force for the camp's tribal losa Association stars, this is the most powerful World of Warcraft Power Leveling of the two WOW Association. As the Association of the existence of the camp's server losa the balance of power is very uneven, the Union camp weak and pitiful. Some people even joke that every other server camp have 4 main city, but the tribes have losa 8. This balance of power between the servers, so powerful offensive force of WoW Power Leveling, the reasonable outcome of the battle is not the suspense.

Yeah, I know, but it isn't on. When you see them offering pretty much the same config (often better as it's been so long since a move) for less and you contact them, they say this is an offer for new customers.

So the only solution to get the better offer is to sign up for that service, and go through the pain of a server move.

Had this recently :mad::mad:
