batch resize of images
hey,
i want to do the following, automatically: for a directory of images, resize to 700 px wide (maintaining aspect ratio obviously), the copy to /small, then resize all in /small to 120 x 160 px wide, and if it isn't in the correct aspect ratio, crop it then resize it is there any free, easy tool to do this? (in windows) (and want to do it locally without having to load up a local server, so not doing it in php) |
just search brothersoft.com and you will find plenty... otherwise photoshop of course does it
|
ACDSee will do most of it easily - their batch processor is awesome. However it won't do batch cropping. I would say there won't be many tools for batch cropping as cropping requires input from the user - you need to decide where to crop so an important part doesn't get cropped off.

by batch cropping i just meant cropping it centered.
and with photoshop, don't think it will copy files to new directory then work on them? or will it? |

And you set the destination, so it will run the originals and send the outputs to a different folder. |
