Hey Gun pro's .. I acquired this rifle from my father a few weeks ago .. he is in the hospital with dementia and doesn't know anything about it all of a sudden ..

So I call in you guys to help me find out what the hell it is .. caliber and make/model .. any help would be awesome ..

looks like an Ljungman AG-42B thats a swiss made military rifle the ammo being 6.5x55 is consistant with that too

just how the fuck do you know that .. lol ..

my first thought was swiss and the 6.5x55 ammo was a good clue so I googled it and tada

clean it and oil it down then put it somplace with no humidity, looks like it's getting some surface rust

looks like the equivalent to our old M1 ( i think i have the right model )

We had one in the family until my father ( a felon ) had it taken away... purely for being in his possession - in the closet for years because it had been in the family for a couple generations...
