You all need to accept the reality of spam
 

I just learned the sad news...... you can't be successful in this business without spamming. Yup, it's true, the person that told me this was pretty clear that he knows more about business than me, so it must be true. right? The gospel was delivered right to my desktop over ICQ no less.

Oh, and he also said that anyone I can name that is doing a ton of signups daily is secretly spamming in order to do so. All the big players spam. And I need to wake up to it. Accept it. If I want to be a big player, I need to give over to it. Get in the spam game. I will get 300 signups a day if I do. 1:50 ratios are but a bulk email away.


I am shocked. Imagine the big boys spamming.

I have been told the spam rap in person by three different people at the last internext and I can not accept it. You know all three CD.

Spam can end up in the hands of underage surfers and I am working now in closing all of my leaks but putting everything I have on AVS by March of 2003.

I also don't want great signups to have them taken away from a sponsor becasue I was spaming (even if we have an "understanding").

Maybe I am stupid I just dont want to break the rules or allow myself to have legal problems in the future.

I have heard in the past about double opt in "volume pumps" but who is to say 1 pissed off asshole wont give me a hard time.

I have had the pleasure of being spammed for Hustler by a sponsor, funny.

:eek7 ...what people fail to realize is YES there are spammers that can send 300 signups a day BUT for each 300 signup spammer there is also a legit webmaster that can match it... The majority of spammers make nothing,the average so so webmaster makes just as much.... Either way,spammer or not,you have to be good at what you do and just because you label yourself a spammer doesnt mean you're "bigtime" because in actuality you're a failed webmaster who needs to burn other people to make your $100 a day...and thats all I have to say about that

SPAM in unsolicited mail. If someone opts in a list, it means they are soliciting it.

Someone who harvests emails and spams the shit out of them and doesn't allow opt out should be shot.

If you run a tight shit with only optins and good removal options then you're fine and it's not considered spam.

Spam is as worthless as putting someone on a street corner with a big ass sign... barely anyone pays enough attention for anyone to care...

Sure all those pro spammers with 20 dedicated servers spamming 24/7 millions of emails a day don't make any money I guess.

I find popups more irritating than spam. At least I don't have to see the spam. For the people that don't know about F4 popups are much much worse.
