KingK7 Here's a real america hero... Thanks for putting this out for the "youngsters" or those with no regard for those who have served. Unfortunately, most are more concerned with getting stoned or plastered and don't have the comprehension of what our Vets went through. Those that have posted here obviously "get it". Thank God for you all!

I am too young to have served in Nam, although my uncles both did. One did three tours of combat duty as a chopper pilot. His job was to land in "hot landing zones" and pull out the wounded. He told me that Hanoi Jane was posing with the VC and the very gun that killed some of the US troops he had to recover.

Although Ms. Fonda has the right to her opinions, treason is an offense that carries some severe penalties. I find it hypocritical that she came back to the US, had tons of plastic surgery and made several fortunes hawking her "fitness videos" and countless other "Tools of Capitalism". I guess squatting in the rain in a rice paddy eating raw fish heads and rice in Hanoi got a bit too much for the old girl...She and her loser husband, Tom Hayden never did anything worthy of their US citizenship except by being born on this soil.

If you have any sense of pride in your US citizenship, think for a moment of those that have answered the call and paid the ultimate price, regardless of whether you agree with the act of war itself. If those before us had not done this, we would be still under the reign of the King of England, or possibly a guy named Hitler...

Thank you all that have served our country! Today we honor your contributions!!!

God Dammit, I've never heard that about Jane Fonda. How the fuck does she show her face in the USA, she accused war heroes of lying???!!! Why because they stopped the torture one time when she was there??? These heroes died for us, so we could have a good life. Would she do that?

This makes me more pissed off that I can express. Well maybe not, she should have been executed on the White House lawn, just like the American kid fighting with the Taliban should be. Treason is no fucking joke.

I don't mind if you are stoned all the time, your remarks and observations are right on target here! That was not the point I was trying to make. I applaud your respect to those that have served. My issue was with Fonda and those like her that did nothing for this country and now are rolling in success, most of which was made possible by the lives of those that have fallen. I appreciate your words and thoughts today. Your opinions seem to be in the minority, unfortunately.

I am not a Vet, and have never purported to be one. I am too young for any of those wars or "police actions". I respect those that have served and hope we never have to face anything like that again, although Iraq seems to be our next "involvement".

What opinion?

Thats really all I said except questioning Fonda regarding her statements of our POWs.

I dont see how I am the minority here, I was speaking for the Prisoners of War, I started the thread... not only the soldiers who made it back and brag so proudly, but the forgotten ones.

We still have POWs in Cambodia and Vietnam.... 3 years ago they send members of my platoon to Cambodia and Vietnam to go searching through the jungles for them... When I found out I thought they were BSing me... But it's true...
