How big is AOL in the UK? Marketshares compared to other ISPs in the UK?

They suck bigtime, bunch of wankers - hey someone stole that aol database several years ago. hahahaha. Be Unlimited kick some major fucking ass.

I'm not going to use them, I just wonder how big marketshare they got in the UK. :)

Can't be that big considering its owned by Warner Bros. which is highly concentrated on the US market.

AOL is small in the UK, its in the name

In UK I don't know, but here in Brazil, AOL is VERY VERY small.

They used to be a bigger deal in the UK before broadband took over. Back then they were near enough the only way to get on the net without paying local phone charges (local calls cost here) because they offered an 800 number to dial into. I had an account with them for years because I wouldn't have been able to be online working otherwise.

Since broadband they are barely talked about. They do offer their own broadband package but so do all the phone companies and about a trillion other companies.

Don't have current figures but before they got bought over a few years ago they were the 3rd largest ISP and had over 2 million customers. Population of the UK is something like 55-60 million I guess.
