Gran Torino

If you're an Eastwood ACTION fan, don't really bother with this movie. I sat through the 2 hours of it and was bored as hell! It's basically him being a racist old man that wants people to stay out of his lawn and eventually makes friends with his neighbors. The ending is NOT action packed and there is basically no gunfighting or violence in the movie.

Think of it as another in a long line of Eastwood "artsy" type bullshit where I'm sure he'll rack up plenty of awards but for your average man this movie SUCKS

I'm a huge fan of movies but damn Eastwood has been putting out nothing buy highly critically acclaimed GARBAGE for far too long.

I can't wait to see seven pounds on friday ;) and Valkyrie will probably have to wait till the monday after release being the holiday and all

The film is filled with emotion and empathy, not action and isnt meant to be.
It was a great cast and a well thought out story line.
it may be slow in parts, but overall its a very good flick.

I haven't seen this movie, but I'm not impressed with the advertising. I'm seeing a deathwish 27 or something. I actually can't believe Eastwood would lower himself like this but I felt the same way about Billion Dollar Baby and have different opinion after seeing it.

Eastwood is a great director though and should move into that area. I'm talking about "Unforgiven" and "Mystic River". He's not known for his directing but should be, just like Redford and here I'm talking "Ordinary People" and "Quiz Show"/

I just picked two for each but these guys ain't hacks is all I'm saying

Oh Gran Torino Is or was a car by the way.

I was expecting the car to be more than just sitting there until the VERY end.... Give me a small high speed drive or something!

The first ad I ever saw of the movie actually was off of autoblog.. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/23/f...gran-torino-i/

I guess the only ads I saw for this movie made me expect something different. I went in expecting SOME kind of ass kicking and got none...
