Please don't hate me. I really don't want you to hate me.

My conversion rate has gone to complete shit. It started around March and is still getting worse. I'm considering making some tube sites. If you can set your hate aside and give me any advice I'll take it.

Is it too late to get into the tube game?

If you think your conversions are bad know. Wait until you have tube traffic.

Reminder, tube sites aren't the main reason why your traffic isn't buying, it's the fact that less and less surfers are willing to trust us with their plastic due to having had them raped by our beloved bros.

Legal tube sites are not a threat but an opportunity.

I don't do anything illegal except for occasionally exceeding the speed limit.

You seem quite passionate about hating on tube sites. :)

Here's the deal, a week ago or so some screenshots were leaked from a smallish program doing something like a few hundred regular joins and close to 30K cross-sale joins in a 3mo period. This is a small program. There's over 200 programs out there doing the pre-checked cross-sale thing. Most of those 30K surfers who got dinged with a cross-sale will NEVER buy porn again. Not from me, not from you, not from anyone. Now, do the math, multply 10K/mo by 200 and see what number that lands you at. I stuck with 10K/mo despite the fact that most of the bigger programs who pull this shit do much more damage than that. Anyway, once you're done crunching numbers tell me if you still think that diminishing the pool of potential buyers by raping their credit cards is less bad than giving them free porn to watch (something we've been doing for years BTW).

I guess oversaturation is the biggest problem and that goes hand to hand with tubes, I guess the "jackin off to the same old shit" syndroma starts to kick in.

If you are gonna start a tube do a niche tube. Get sponsors that have both embeded and downloadable content, Having embeded content saves on bandwith. Also try and get a script which allows you to plug movies from other tube sites for traffic.

I think the current economy is the problem, that cause your conversion to get worst.

I am not defending cross sales scams. They suck too, but if you think that most sales are from guys who consistently join sites like they are going out to eat, I believe you are mistaken. That is the logic behind blaming everything on cross sales. You think the very same small pool of surfers are the only ones who join sites, and once they are burned once, they are gone for good. This is true for a percentage perhaps, but the bulk of joins are from new people, who are momentarily horny enough to try something new, and like what you have to offer.

Now when a person conducts a search for almost ANY type of porn (niche or not), they are given tons of links to FREE TUBE SITES!

Especially now, when the economy sucks, people will certainly prefer FREE over having to pay anything.

Here's some food for thought for you: all these paysites who run these dirty cross-sales have a lot more traffic combined that all these evil tubesites you're ranting about.

Anyway, I'm done trying to change your mind as you seem to be pretty set in your ways. My hope is that more and more people realize that, while tube sites, despite giving shit away, do not scam the surfers out of money and thus don't totally remove their willingness to ever join a paysite again. I also hope that more stop sending traffic to these pieces of shit.
