WWC 12-12-2008 10:15 PM

Why am i NOT surprised? Keanu is the WORST actor alive!

tical 12-12-2008 10:56 PM

thank you for the heads up you saved me money.

Compdoctor 12-12-2008 11:03 PM

it is slow, acting needs a great deal of help, and all around waste of money.

Yeah, it was.

Day the Earth Stood Still was ok, the original was better. Kept hoping the giant robot would open a can of whoopass on everything but never really happened.

jollyperv 12-12-2008 11:34 PM

Why do people keep putting that fucktard in movies???

WarChild 12-13-2008 12:25 AM

Anytime you see Keanue Reeved trying to play any sort of action or serious role, just imagine him saying "Excellent!!" with that stupid fucking grin.

Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure pretty much ruined The Matrix for me.

skrog 12-13-2008 12:39 AM

I saw it today. It sucked pretty fucking hard. The only cool shit about it was some of the cgi effects. But, you can see most of them in the trailer. So, save yourself some time and a few bucks. Just watch the trailer.

pornask 12-13-2008 12:44 AM

what's it about?

So you form opinions based on what other people think? Seriously consider your sources. ONE person says it sucked and you're like "Oh thanks I was going to see that. Now I won't" ONE person. I don't know if it sucks or not but I'm not basing my decison on ONE person's opinion.

Kudles 12-13-2008 12:14 PM

It looks stupid

hjnet 12-13-2008 12:16 PM

No Gay Action in there, eh?

mrkris 12-13-2008 12:53 PM

I have a weird sense of taste when it comes to movies. Some of the worst rated movies of all time are my favorites. So, regardless that Rotten gave it less than a 5 out of 10 doesn't matter to me.

Also, Reeves was pretty good in Constantine.

Rodrigo-Ibills 12-13-2008 01:39 PM

I saw it last night , It was not good at all

mrkris 12-13-2008 06:43 PM

I just got back from the movie. I can understand why some of you hate the movie, you know, because it requires you to have an imagination. Aside from that, I thought it was a half way decent movie. It is what it is. You might think the X-Files movies are bad, but fans of X-Files probably loved it. :2 cents:

Did you enjoy watching all the product placement bullshit?

You act as if you've never seen that before. The two biggest ones I've noticed in movies, that surpass this movie in ads, were I-Robot and Blade Trinity. Ipods, Converse, blah blah.

Phoenix 12-13-2008 07:32 PM

shit...i guess ill stay in instead of going to it

The Duck 12-13-2008 07:38 PM

I really wanted this one to be good.

WWC 12-14-2008 01:53 AM

Someone called him " Stone Face " lol....so true....i can act better with those scripts than him with my eyes closed hahahahehehe

Tulku 12-14-2008 02:18 AM

it's very good movie .. that's not some stupid fucking action ..

Violetta 12-14-2008 06:37 AM

Im looking forward to it!

John-ACWM 12-14-2008 06:41 AM

So many negative reviews...I will watch it to have my own negative opinion :1orglaugh

The Ghost 12-14-2008 07:03 AM

Watched it yesterday.

Not the worst movie I've seen, but the story was one dimensional with no twists. The worst part was you don't care for a single character in the film. Not one. Towards the end was rooting for the earth to be given an enema and wiped clean.

Scott McD 12-14-2008 07:05 AM

Yeah i think i'll pass on this one.

Wasted enough money on shitty movies the past year to do so with another... :disgust

I dont even think the ggi was very good... well, the bug storm was ok, but the helicopters was sooooo badly made

SomeCreep 12-14-2008 10:16 AM

I thought this was a great remake. I enjoyed it.

The storyline was predictable, but that's to be expected considering this movie was oringally made back in 1951.

pornguy 12-14-2008 11:01 AM

It was average. And as far as reeves goes, he did fine acting like an aliean that has no feelings or at least does not understand them.

The Special Effects were really good.

Thanks for the heads up...

Kard63 12-14-2008 04:46 PM

How many movies can Keanu Reeves make where he is some kind of unearthly super geek?

The stadium being swiped away was the best part.

J. Falcon 12-14-2008 05:02 PM

Not surprised.

Brujah 12-14-2008 05:08 PM

Michael Rennie was ill the day the earth stood still, but he told us where we stand.

I liked it.

I completely enjoyed this movie and Keanu's bad acting was brilliant in that he was an alien in a foreign body trying to be human. Was it the best movie I have ever seen? Nope... But it definitely wasn't a waste of money.

If you can't go to the movies and set aside your VIEW OF REALITY, then there is no point in even stepping into a theatre that is showing a movie that requires imagination or the "Suspension of Disbelief".

I actually had to explain a few things to the people I saw it with, so it wasn't a brain dead movie that so many seem to enjoy.

I didn't even notice, because almost ALL MAJOR MOVIES DO IT. If something so insiginificant bothers you don't go to the movies. The ONLY one I noticed was when they gave her phone back and the LG logo was on it, other than that it was not in your face noticeable.

The government uses Vista? :1orglaugh All the product placement was obvious. It definitely, was not insignificant. The movie sucks dick. Plain and simple. If you want to watch this movie. Please, watch the original.

Why would I care if they did? I could care less what they use nor have I wasted even 1 sec wondering what they do use. If I wanted to go see a movie based on reality I certainly wouldn't have chosen a movie about an alien coming from space and threatening planet earth.

broots 12-14-2008 05:32 PM

Oh please, most of you probably thought that Blair Witch was "scary".
