I hope that would not stop my son.

WebairChris 12-12-2008 10:57 AM

Absolutely. When I was 13 my dad took me to my first Metallica concert

LauraLee 12-12-2008 10:57 AM

If he liked them, I would.

potter 12-12-2008 10:58 AM

I wouldn't be caught dead going to a metallica concert..

Scott McD 12-12-2008 10:58 AM

I don't think he would accept the invite either way...

geedub 12-12-2008 11:03 AM

Probably in like 1991.

_Richard_ 12-12-2008 11:19 AM

absolutely!

jmcb420 12-12-2008 11:25 AM

Hell yes, My father took me to my first metallica show as a kid and we both had a blast. If I were going to see them again, I would have to get him out there or it just wouldn't be as much fun.

Vendzilla 12-12-2008 11:28 AM

During the 70's my dad called me up and wanted to know if I wanted to see KISS, he was working on the elevator for the stage and had to be there if they had any problems, they gave him two back stage passes. That was so cool

The Duck 12-12-2008 11:28 AM

No, I dont like them much.

ztik 12-12-2008 11:31 AM

I saw them just recently best show ive been too in years. I go to a lot of shows too.

If your losing your hearing you might want to bring some ear plugs. I couldn't hear for like an hour afterwards. We were about 5 rows back from the stage though

JamesK 12-12-2008 11:32 AM

Nope, he's not into that kind of music.

mvee 12-12-2008 11:34 AM

nah he can sleep at home

Deej 12-12-2008 11:36 AM

uhh yeaaa - i probably owe him

once - i stole his ticket to Lynyrd Skynyrd and went and had a BLAST! He was a fisherman and not quite docked (in the port) when it was time to leave. I feel sort of bad since its his all time favorite band. BUt hey - Had to do it!

tranza 12-12-2008 11:39 AM

Yea sure! My dad would go with holy bible under his arms after seeing such strange people... hahaha!

Xrated J 12-12-2008 11:42 AM

well, my dad is only 17 years older than me, and im 26. so yeah, i would.

SykkBoy 12-12-2008 11:42 AM

He took me to my first Metallica show waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day just before they opened for Ozzy. So, yeah and not only would I invite him, he'd happily attend...
my dad was responsible for introducing me to Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, etc. and I introduced him to SLAYER, Venom, Exodus, King Diamond, etc.

Depending on the year, you may be lucky to be alive.

Pornopat 12-12-2008 01:03 PM

My dad would prefer a nice opera.

Well I certainly didnt get to see Ronnie in action, but Johnny lead the band just fine. I witnessed Lynyrd Skynyrd with two of the originals still playing. Now they are all gone.

UniversalPassLorence 12-12-2008 01:19 PM
