...and a Free tip since I mentioned Flash...
Hey a free little logic tip for anyone who hasn't thought of it...
WHen you are doing a design with just some Flash elelments mixed in to a mostly HTML page, there is a great way to have it cover people who both have Flash and no FLash without using a script or adding the "click here for HTML ONLY version" page... If you put the Flash piece in a table document you can an alternate graphic for no FLash users just by using the simple td background="whatever.jpg" tag. Just make sure you define the height and width of the td too. Whatever image you have set as that background will show up for non-flash users. |
works nice

Here's another tip if we are posting them:
A flash movie supports % height/width. If you have a 3 column layout, or whatever, and want the center column header to stretch, put a flash movie in there, and set it to 100% width. When the browser is resized, it will shrink/grow with the page, instead of dawning the dreaded horizontal scrollbar. :) Just thought I'd post this. Not sure if anyone has used this yet, but, I've tested it in IE and NS4. |
Nice one Voodoo! Thanks.
