Caylee: Who gives a FUCK?
10,000 children die daily in Africa from all sorts of crap. Probably more, I lost the source for the numbers. Many die in this country. People get killed in car accidents daily. Fathers and mothers lose brothers and babies on a regular basis.
So why in the fuck is America so obsessed with these hollywood death stories? If you give a shit about dying children so much, put the SAME amount of attention on Umbukwallie in Uganda who died of dehydration today. It's ONE kid. Fuck off. |

are those children, allegedly killed by their own mother ?:2 cents:

It's sad anyway you look at it. I dont think "Who gives a fuck" thats kinda cold..have a heart man. Someone was killed.
I think the mother killing her own daughter is fucked up. |

We can always debate dafur and the failure of the world to protect kids but this story sucks and is sad for alot of reasons :( |
Anyone who keeps telling me to have a heart and I'm an asshole needs to:
1) Get over themselves 2) Get over it in general I don't give a shit if you think I am an asshole. I have a valid point and I am completely right in this situation. Even that douche Fletch XXX would agree with me here. |

Enjoy your 24/7 Child Death station, channel 707 on cable! Where we make a media circus about every single death of someone under the age of 18. |
Tell us how you really feel... :winkwink:

nancy grace doesnt wanna do stories on kids in Africa, she wants to talk over n over n over about the same shit every single nite, i dont even understand how she got a show

We don't live in Africa. In fact, we should have troops in Africa trying to fix that, but that's for Obama to tackle later.
A child is missing, and is most likely dead. It's very fucking sad. |
Quote:
Rochard... wait. Your logic makes no sense as usual. We don't live in Africa so we shouldn't care about African children or their deaths right? Then why should Obama tackle anything with troops there if it's none of our business and none of it is newsworthly? Please explain your lack of rationale. |
It's a mystery that everyone wants to know the answer to. That's the appeal.
I'm local to the story and what really makes me made is how ALL the reporters are twisting the facts and trying to be the first one to announce that the remains are of the missing girl :disgust It's a lot like following a GFY drama thread :1orglaugh |
I just want you to admit this does NOT deserve national news coverage. Trying to say I don't care about children dying is fucking crap, as I obviously do. But this ONE girl in a town getting killed by her mother... this shit happens all of the time ALL over the country and world. This is NOT newsworthy. Yes it's sad, but not every fucking American needs to hear about it every day.

If my daughter was killed and I saw this post. I'd be upset and hurt. You're adding a big insult to the family of this little girl. You walk your path and I'll walk mine. It's nice to know where your'e coming from. This thread shines with your out going personality. |

i hope they put her mother to death.... :2 cents: |

I have a point, it's correct - and you're missing the point of what I am saying. It's sad she's dead, but I don't GIVE A SHIT as compared to the other carnage the world is putting out that we SHOULD be fed on a national level. We are selective in what we care about - and you're a prime example of my point. You are a bigger douche than you think I am. Fact. |
I agree 100%. But people are fucking tools, nothing we can do to fix it.

thing is to have as many people as possible looking for them. That's what the Amber Alert does. The grandparents really pushed the exposure to gain awareness in hopes someone would find the child. They did this by going to the news outlets. They were on larry King just last night. While most missing cases just get caught up in the system a few get national attention because of people like the grandparents. Once the pleas have been put out there the story gains interest and today we may now have a definitive answer to what everyone has been wanting to know. |
Brad,
If you really belive the shit your spilling out and not just trolling, I feel sorry for you mano. Everything in the world can be put in perspective.. I would love for all people across the globe to eat healthy every day, have a stick built house, free medical care, etc but this is the world we live in right now. Just because the "media" are whores like alot of us and want / need the ratings and the human interest story doesn't mean we shouldn't care of feel sorrow for this little girl whois probably gone..... ah well we all have our own thoughts.... |
I haven't followed this one. However, I think it's because we can't personalize such large numbers of names and faces, so someone like Caylee is how we put a face to all the others. She can represent them all because it's too overwhelming for us otherwise.
|
Human interest stories are meant to boost ratings. The average human doesn't care if he steps on the foot of his neighbor on the subway, but if they put that on national TV and made a headline story out of "subway rudeness, people are so rude to each other!" then people who have never seen a subway care about it.
That serves no purpose other than to fill a time slot and it's fucking stupid. I care about things, but everything has its time and purpose and scope. This story and the Natalie Hollaway story should NEVER be whored the fuck out. I agree on the Amber Alert. Here's the thing and I think this is my main point and if you don't get it, you're an ignorant cum stick: If we had a station dedicated to Amber Alerts and finding missing children, how many people would watch it and keep their eyes peeled on missing kids? How many people would care unless it was sensationalized? My point is, people are whores - this SHOULDN'T be news but it is because human beings are stupid and ignorant. They only care because the media has told them to. If you didn't see it on CNN you wouldn't care because it's not like any of us volunteer for child rescue operation services or something. We just sit on our chairs and eat up the bullshit. Human interest pieces have their place: Up your asses. |

The interest in this case and the Natalee Holloway case are similar. People do not just disappear off the face of the Earth. When someone disappears it peaks the curiousity of people. They wonder what happened to that person and where they are. Plus it is hard not to feel bad for those families. No one wants to have a relative or friend disappear never to be seen again or their body never found. Also as a parent you are supposed to love and take care of your child, not kill them. Also you can't say that people on here do not care or volunteer for child rescue operations. I have volunteered for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. It is easy to volunteer for them. Then you have people like John Walsh who had a tragedy happen to him and he makes it his mission to fight injustice. He is one of the founders of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and his does his show America's Most Wanted. |

If this had been a small black child, no one outside of the local community, if that, would give a shit...that being said, Brad, if you ever, god forbid, reproduce, your perspective will change.
What do you think should be national news then? What stories should be told? It's easy to bitch about a problem, but what would you do? I already know the answer..you'd just bitch about it all day on a damn chatboard and not really do anything else about it. |

admit it, brad has a point. why does anything get national attention. i wonder if it was national attention when my neighbors wife gave all their kids sleeping pills until they died. oh by the way that was also in orlando, fl. did you guys also know about the gang of people that totally bludgened 4 other people in a house(and the dog too) over an xbox and some clothes. that was also orlando.maybe we should pay special attention to all the kids that die because they dont have health insurance and noone will volunteer drugs or medical attention unless they "get paid for it first" you can call us all cruel but the world goes around in a circle. im gonna go out on a huge limb here. its kinda like jesus dying. really a pointless religion if you look at the fact that no matter how much you pray and believe. you're still going to die. the only thing i cant figure out is what determined how you got to heaven or hell before you were able to pray to jesus. im not sure what the jews did 3000 years before he was born to get to heaven. god. that would be like living today without a tv. how ever did they do it. bottom line. people die, some do it in other ways. cant blame the man for having an opinion. i think all christians are wacked outta their mind for their beliefs but im sure all the christians see nothing wrong with it. to affraid to see the world for what it really is. PURE LUCK. the end.

I agree with Brad, I actually was shocked when weeks before the presidental elections they cut off a pretty big story about obama to talk more about how they found google searches on this bitches computer... WHO THE FUCK CARES?!

Teenjump, stop trying to be all hard. Tv new is BS, people pay way too much attention to it but i doubt you would be saying this if something like this happened to someone close to you.

But I am glad there are others with common sense out there like me. I care about children. They die, and it's sad as fuck. Old people die, and people that love them are sad. Showing it on TV for months... that's STUPID. Just admit it and we can all move on. My aunt died last month. That wasn't on TV... I guess children being murdered are more important than dementia overwhelming a persons brain causing death? Priorities people, just get the priorities straight and treat every situation equally. |
Just so everyone knows...
Brad isn't saying he doesn't care that she's dead, He does, its sad, really.. but does it really need to be 24/7 on every news channel, top priority over stuff such as WHATS GOING ON WITH THE ECONOMY OF OUR COUNTRY? ^ Made it that way because alot of you fail to actually READ and just RESPOND |

Dont the Brit's have some law there essentially stating that if a case is in progress, then speculating in public media is forbidden?

The news media in the US is a complete joke. :2 cents: |
Yeah I remember it came up also during the Scott Peterson trial. The US would do well to adopt a law like that. And I'll tell you right now, the media would see it as a throttle on their free speech.. but the trick is to frame it properly, which is as a protection for our justice system to proceed unimpeded.

Thanks Josh. People here fail to read and then jump on the "Brad is a Nazi" train really fast. People fail to understand what I am really trying to get at because they come to conclusions before they digest what I say. It's what most humans do, they just jump down shit and start attacking it without thinking. I can't blame them it is animal nature.

Turn off the TV ... now please step away. Problem solved. Why turn on the propaganda machine, then get mad that it spits out propaganda? Find another source for your news.
