I've told affiliate progs when I've been over-paid by $10K+ so yep I'd probably give it back. You never know how much the owners might need that money - could be life and death for them, who knows.
"She came up and hugged me. She offered me $1,000, but told me she needed every penny she could so I thought, it's not my money. If she needs it that badly, it knew she didn't really want to give it, so I didn't take it," said Watts.
Well, the honest straight-up fairness side of me says grandma did the right thing and handled the situation correctly.
But the more 'sporting' side of me can't help thinking that if someone is DUMB enough to go around carrying that much cash and then is even more dumb enough to actually lose it or forget it somewhere... they kind of deserve to lose it.
Tough call. Knowing me I'd probably return it, but not without temptation.

I have found several wallets & purses in my lifetime & I have always tracked down the owner and returned them. No one ever offered me a reward, just a big thank you.
One wallet was found in the bank parking lot and had almost $900 hundred dollars in it. That woman actually had me drive to her place to return it which I found a bit ungrateful and would have appreciated at least $20 for the effort. But, I felt good doing the right thing.
Now, if I had found a bag full of money with no contact info. I would have kept it for sure.

Ya same here, I've returned a lot of wallets and credit cards. Had a guy rushing in front of me on the way to Costa Rica this year and saw him drop his credit card. I scooped it up and had to run to catch him as he was trying to make a flight. Would of been pretty easy to use that sucker in Costa to have a few nice dinners or something as I never had my ID checked down there even once the last 2 times I've been there lol. Hmm I could of brought home a suitcase full of cialis damn... what was I thinking returning that lol
my sister find 10k euro and it give it back and in exchange of this .. she got only many thanks .... so i will do the same ..money are the eye of the devil
I am an psyhead. I would definitely give it back. I haven't found nothing so far, but I've lost many things, and most of the time I had that great pleasure that someone found it and gave me back.
Once I checked the purse and could NOT find ID or a wallet or anything saying who owned it, I would assume someone left it on a drug deal or something and by the rules of the "game" that would make it ALL mine

depends on the settings... If I KNEW noone would find out that I found them, I guess I wouldnt. And if it was some rich dude who lost it, and wouldnt care...
What did she "need" it for if she was carrying it and left it in a bathroom? With a picture in it? HELLO? Are you all that naive? That was a hit payoff! I would have kept that shit even if it was not, anybody that stupid deserves to lose it for good. That shit would have been handcuffed to me.
