    For some reason this cheered me up today. Always nice to see another race hustler on his way down.

    Chicago Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., is the anonymous "Senate Candidate No. 5" whose emissaries Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich reportedly offered up to $1 million to name him to the U.S. Senate, federal law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

                  I don't believe he will be put away (unless there is much more to the story that has not come out) but it seems likely to derail his career as an effective political race hustler. At a minimum he seems quite unlikely to be in the US Senate any time soon. Anyway it is always nice to see amoral corrupt scumbags like him have their ambitions derailed.

                  Of course maybe when Blago starts singing to try and reduce his own sentence we may find that there is more too this.

                      Obama just called for the Illinois governor to resign, 1 day after the scandal broke.

                      I wasn't an Obama supporter before the election, but.... I was impressed with Obama's swift and good decision on this issue.
