Need a new standalone FTP
 

I have been using LeechFTP since i can remember, what's good now?

CuteFTP is one you'll hear recommended a lot. I use (and like) FlashFXP, which is designed for both uploading and downloading (FTP) but also for transferring between servers (FXP) as well.

Oh, and Coffee Cup's FTP program is good for editing files right on the server, so you don't have to download them and then upload them again. A very handy feature on occasion.

I love leech ftp as well, for development I use Sftp, much more secure.

I use FlashFXP aswell, it kicks ass!

Leech FTP still rocks. Its one of the only multi threaded FTP clients out there at the moment, and one of the best all round clients.

They have put out something similar to leech called Bit Beamer. It can also spider webpages for files etc aswell as ftp functionality. Multi threaded too.

I still use good old leech though :)

Sftp or Smart FTP?
isn't Sftp a linux port?

Not as far as I know. Just have similar tastes in a few things.

It's going to be hard to replace it was great! But when it starts spamming error messages at me in a different language just for forgetting it was running for a few hours gets old.

CuteftpPro is the best one, I think.

CUTE FTP PRO, FREAKING ROCKS.. Connect 6-10 times to the same domain and select a folder to upload drag & drop and ALL 6-10 connections start pumping out the uploads to the server, I mean I uploaded 15 megs with 4000 .txt files in something like 20 minutes. on a 256 k upload stream. Its a lot better than the standard cuteftp version, but both are good.

Leech had that, the plus side is its only like 800k or something, didn't have a lot of crap i would never use

I've used alot of ftp programs, but THE ONE is flashFXP. The program kicks ass! (and you can use it for ftp stuff too ofcource :))

i use cuteftp and have had no complaints. has anyone used cuteftp and flashFXP and knows what if any is the big differences?
