The IRS is just too funny!
I got many IRS stories but this kinda beats a good few!
There is a US citizen living in what is regarded as an offshore country - like 70% of em he ain't paid the IRS their "dues". So.. the IRS prepare a bundle of impressive looking fraud charges and then attempt to extradict him to the US to live in a cell for 20 years. They send two agents to present the extradiction case to this country's courts. As a formality the judge requests some credentials from the agents and some background info. It turns out that the pair of em entered the country illegally using false papers - they then went along to several offshore banks and present false documents to the banks in an attempt to open private accounts for themselves in false names *g* The judge accepted their documents for the extradiction of the "perp" and is considering em. In the meantime, the IRS agents were arrested for numerous offences and then released and allowed to return the US. Their court case is due this month, but I got little doubt that they will turn up for this event and, in real life, the courts are not gonna bother wasting time extradicting em. They will just have outstanding warrants for arrest the day they ever decided to return here. *g* Wonder if the judge will let the IRS hypocracy affect his findings on the "perp"? Gotta feeling it might go along the lines of Go Fuck Yourself!:Graucho |
Where is this place...? Can I visit? :p
|
Yes, what jurisdiction was this?
|
You're the perp...
|
ha ha...dunno why people do that, unless they actually want to move out of country...Just setup an IBC and never pay taxes again =)
:321GFY IRS! |
This was in Costa Rica ..
It ain't the first time this has happened... the last was when US decided they did not need to comply with extradiction treaties and made a habit of sending some marshals in to "kidnap" US citizens - that resulted in Costa Rica govt suspending their extradiction treaty and complaining to the UN. "Normality" has since been restored after the US promised to quit kidnapping folks *lol* *g* And na.. I aint' the "perp" - please to say I am not a US citizen - thank God! :-) |
Cheers to Costa Rica...

Costa Rica? Don't people bathe in rivers there?

Tis true that on the Caribbean coast the main language is English, but the Pacific cost is much nicer! (Tis the kinda place I have never seen in my life before! *g*) |
