The Battlestar 4.5 trailer doesn't excite me :[

Anyone else watch it and just think "meh."
I am a bit disappointed with how dark and weird it turned. It used to be the humans getting beat up but kicking cylon ass. Now it just got strange. How do they plan to wrap up 100 story lines in so few episodes and give a happy ending?

Sigh

Yeah seriously. I'm hoping for a full blown theatrical release movie after the series ends.

I don't like that stuff

I loved the first 2 seasons. Amazing. The 3rd I was so disappointed with. The 4th started strong and ended weak as tits. I just hope they close everything up properly.

I love the show and like Brad I just hope they end it well. I don't really care what they find or how they decide to end it as long as the ending it good and makes sense. I'm also looking forward to the Caprica series which takes place 50 years prior to the Cylon invasion. It could be cool.

One last thing. I want to bang the Grace Park who plays Boomer :)

How about the startrek movie trailer, i think it finally got grownup.

Battlestar

I'm with BradM. The show was insanely good up until season 3 and then took a nosedive. Some of the 4th season was borderline unwatchable. Maybe they ran out of ideas although they probably could have just ended it with the last episode where they arrive at Earth and it's just a post-apocalyptic shell of a planet.

Oh well I'll keep watching. Gone too far to stop now (like "Lost"). :Oh crap

hottoddy 12-05-2008 04:35 PM

Agreed. It took a nosedive with all the "who are the cylons?" and "who is the real enemy?" story lines. It turned into constant character anguishing, questioning, internal conflict and civil strife. BSG simply got too dark and weird with the progression of the human-cylon symbiosis. It still has artistic merit, but the stories have become far less satisfying.

There were a few stories I didn't care for, but c'mon, they have churned out some great ones. I'm ready to see how it ends.

uno 12-05-2008 04:42 PM

Why do we care who the final cylon is? I forget.

Persius 12-05-2008 04:45 PM

We don't. There's no REASON to care. The final cylon has no key to anything, and has no real mission. So caring who it is would just be curiosity.

Because uhm, he would pwn cloning roxxors of his own self.
