Pennywize, Phantom Frog, Strongbox, ProxyPass -- Which pass protector do you prefer? I've used Pennywize and ProxyPass.

I've used ProxyPass and Pennywize and some custom stuff, but none of the others. I want to replace my Pennywize installs right now. I tried ProxyPass and Pennywize together for a while, but ProxyPass seemed to be looking at really different usage from Pennywize and that concerned me and then ProxyPass got kinda squirrely on what the price was and I hate when anyone tries to change a deal after they have made it, so I stopped using ProxyPass, although I may still have an unused install of it on my servers. Pennywize is giving me an error where it keeps blocking my IP. I FTP in and remove it from the blocked list, of course, but one page reload is all it takes to get my IP re-blocked. I'm concerned that, if I can't make a login from my own computer work, are my members getting this kind of frustration with Pennywize?

So I want to try something else. Recommendations?

pennywize cost me $2500 in bandwidth charges

I like strongbox

It's hard to say for sure as we have to adjust our priorities
to match webmasters' needs. Due to the Alphared thing we
had to put a rush on Clonebox, as people were needing it
right away. Right now I'm thinking a couple more months until
the full public release.

One large network of sites is running a pre-production version right
now which includes some of the features such the basic biometrics
which identify the actual human being rather than the IP or computer.
However, other features like improved geo-tracking have only been
tested separately and still need to be integrated and there is a bit of
work left to do to organize the huge amount of information we track so
that it's easy for webmasters to understand. What all of that means is
that for webmasters who really need it, a version is available now,
and the rest largely depends on how much of the UI work can be
done by someone we're looking to hire and how much feedback we
get from webmasters - sometimes you guys give us an idea which
would have taken us many hours to figure out on our own.

PhantomFrog kicks ass and saves you time replying to customer service emails (most all of them)...gotta factor in your time (and how much it saves) into any equation :)

we have right now strongbox and are happy with it, plus they have a big range of products in their "-box" family that you could also like.

Only used the Frog, but more than happy with it.
