It would be a better place in America if we all started to buy American made products! Keep the money in the US and depend less on the Rest!

yeah, It's getting really bad these days.

I worked in a manufacturing environment for awhile the last few years.

We were importing more and more shit from overseas :(
A lot of it was because of a metal shortage & price increases..
Purchasing would do spot buys on tons of metal for the cheap.

bleh.. I worked in quality that shit sucked
we had to test for potential lead hazards too !

maybe if American products were any good, more people would buy them.

and not 10x more expensive to wholesale

Well labor getting cheaper and dollar getting better, maybe its time now to start companies ;-)

also, there has been lots of problems out of China lately.....toys, meats, milk, etc...

I was a dress manufacturer in the East End of London in the 60s and 70s. So don't tell me about cheap imports.

The things we lead the world in and can sell to them have largely been fucked by the crisis. Expecting them to come back and be in our control is stupid. The people with the power want them as well. They want banking, insurance, stock and commodities markets and even technology. Remember China put a man into space and talking about putting men on the moon. They will be taking over the business for putting satellites up, how long before the Shuttle is obsolete and when is it's replacement due?

We can still sell them movies, music, porn, games, programs. No we can't they download them for free on the "free and unregulated" Internet.

We were all to busy down the mall buying cheap crap we did not make and did not need. :Oh crap

Maybe they should make it more affordable and with labor is getting cheaper also....? Dont know but its interesting ....wish i mastered in economics and foreign trade though ;-)

But i know one thing, is instead of trying to bail out all these damn huge companies, why not break those huge companies into many small ones....its bullshit....why allow huge companies get out of control, execs getting $1,000,000 payroll a year and then have us tax payers help them out.....wow...
