I finally got it. (pics)
Been tracking this guy for a few weeks.
Also, a few more Big Boys on my "Hit List": http://shootersblog.com/bucks/buck-01_12_01_2008.jpg http://shootersblog.com/bucks/7mm-rem-mag-buck1.jpg http://shootersblog.com/bucks/fighting-bucks-01.jpg http://shootersblog.com/bucks/fighting-bucks-02.jpg http://shootersblog.com/bucks/fighting-bucks-03.jpg http://shootersblog.com/bucks/fighting-bucks-04.jpg |
wtf did you shoot with that round on the right? i've shot plenty of 223 rounds and never seen one come out as nice as that one.
|
Nice shot, but couldn't you angle the shot to get them both in the neck with one bullet?
|
People that hunt defenseless animals for anything other than food are pussies. Be a man and join the army if you want to hunt something for sport.

Congrats on your conquest

I shot the buck you see in the back of the truck with it. It was 150 yards out and standing 45 deg. broadside to me. You can pretty much tell where the entry wound is and it exited right behind his left shoulder and the bullet stopped right underneath the skin. :thumbsup |

You thought correct. The pics were taken at night. Deer mostly move early in the am sleep all day and come out right before dark. If you shoot one right before dark, by the time you load him up and get to the point where you can take a decent pic it's dark. The photos of the bucks fighting are from one of my scout cameras that takes pics by a motion sensor. |

And deer are far from defenseless. Especially bucks. Very smart and solitary animals. Very hard to get close to. The only reason most bucks get shot is because they loose their smarts when it comes time to fuck. Just like us. |
please do not post hunting pics without bikini pics.
thanks |
Thats a nice buck.
|
i guess to some people it's a sport. I work as a volunteer at the animal police, i can't understand that people do this for sport or fun.
|
Nice kill man.
|
Anything that keeps them out of the grill of my ride is a bonus. Keep up the good work!

Nice Kill BV :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
I used to hunt when I was a younger. I took a big goat down with a compound bow. Fucker ran for days after the first arrow went through it's neck. Long story short... 6 arrows later the fucker dropped. It was a bitch draggin that thing back to the main road and then the butcher. I still have the head from the taxidermy. I went deer hunting too but never bagged one. So thats sweet you got a good one for the season. Send some jerky this way or somethin :winkwink: |
I'd hit it...

not fucking cool man ....killing animals like that for fun or sport |

Anybody who's a passionate deer hunter eats his kill, if not, he gives it away to family/friends for consuming, by the threads of BV's that I read, hes a very huge sportsman and enjoys his kills at the dinner table. |

Whats wrong with the white guy? Why your stalking him for weeks?
|
I don't understand the photo of the bullets and the coke can. Why is the bullet still in the casing?
|
nothing like a good hunting thread to point out the fucking pussies. i had 7 tags this season, it was a fucking bloodbath...
|
I used to love to hunt; but, six years of Army kinda took the fun out of it.

I have a friend who hunts Deer and I tell him the same thing I'm gonna say here.
It doesn't make you tough to stand 150 yards away and shoot a deer. Anyone could do it. Ok so you eat it and so you should after killing it but what do you get from it? Being serious now.. explain to me what killing that Deer does for you, I genuinly want to understand why people do it. |
i dont think you can shoot more than one can you? maybe I'm thinking of moose
|
yea yea you eat it ok, but why the trophy pic then? its just to boast, nothing else. Anyone can shoot animals with a camo suit and a rifle, dont understand why you have to boast with it with a lame pic like that. Its stupid.
|
Thank you to all the hunters that keep the deer an elk population under control .
My freezer is void of all wild game this year...bummed. |
is that your pet?

I wonder if all the hunting haters in here are vegaterians. If not, please shut the fuck up.

If you hunt, kill, and eat the food. I don't care what you people say, that isn't sport, it's food. Shooting with a gun, a bow, trapped, or blown up, as long as it is eaten, it's food.
I love to hunt, while it has been a good while, it was still a great learning experience from just learning to hunt, track, stay warm, fight the elements, all of it. It's funny to listen to the people that think hunting is cruel or macho or some other bullshit thing that they think is easy, you know.. just a few hundred yards and pop, game over. Hahaha... Dream on... 15 minutes and you guys would be curled up in a ball crying for mom dieing of hypothermia or eating a bag of chips wondering why the Deer don't just walk up and kill over for you. It's a skill, a great skill at that and if you don't have it you should feel ashamed of yourself and blame your parents for failing to actually teach you a real skill in life. BTW, nice Buck :) |

I was eating deer a couple years ago for the first time and didn't know that wild meat is some of the toughest flesh to put in your body, harder to digest. I actually had health issues because I ate too much deer sausage and almost had internal injuries during the digestion process. Overload. We helped make over 100 pounds of deer sausage with the family, and then ended up going veg after. Make sure you eat some salad with your deer! :1orglaugh |
Jesus fuck the cry babies in this thread is just redcockulus

I had to pick huge chunks of meat out of the front of my truck. I only fight bears hand to hand combat now a days ..those fuckers want all the huckleberries to themselves :1orglaugh |
Looks like a mean bastard, good you got him...

Since it isn't just about walking around, seeing the deer, shooting it and game over.. he is proud of his kill, his hunt, and he should be. It's a damn nice deer. Better than any I have ever taken down. Now he will use a skill to clean the deer, get rid of the bad parts, maybe sell others, and cook and freeze the good parts. A great skill to have and different across all animals. |

im no hunter. ive got an ar15 in 223 and had no idea that a 7mm was a more kick bullet. im on the fence buying a socom in 308 just for the larger rounds. all though im not going to lie, id really hate to be plugged by a 223. |

Of course it's to boast. duh I spent a lot of time and effort and want to remember it. and you are very very wrong, not anyone with a camo and a rifle can shoot a big buck like this. Some people hunt for years and years and never get a buck. Like I said, bucks are smart, very smart. and very difficult to get close to. If you think it's so easy, come here and try it. I bet you 50k you can't do it. I'll even buy you a plane ticket and give you some camo and let you have your choice of any of my rifles. I bet you couldn't even bag a doe. 50k, put your money where your mouth is or shut the fuck up. |
Killing a deer with a rifle from 150 yards is so manly of you....
If you absolutely have to kill it why not do it fairly. Like walk right upto it with a bat and try then, see how long you last without your oh so big and powerful gun Pussy |
