I hate Valve.

I hate it for releasing such a masterpiece.

Now I can hardly get any work done.

The game puts 4 players as survivors and 4 players as zombies with special abilities + there are hordes of normal zombies. Sick.

I cant get it to launch on my computer running vista64. The valve launcher starts, but when I launch the game, it just crashes. :(

What platform are you playing on that sounds amazing

Is the game really gross? I liked Half Life but sometimes hated those guys covered in crabs. Just freaked me out with all the screaming and moaning.

I bought both Gears 2 and L4D - Played gears for like 10 minutes but cant stop L4D.

Maybe it's because I finished Gears 1 and thought 2 was just more of the same, but IMHO L4D is way more fun. The online play wins.

Its not that gross. Pretty bloody as you would expect from a zombie game but nothing to keep you up at night. Certainly no more gory than Gears.

Imagine playing through the movie Dawn of the Dead(2004) and 28 Days/Weeks later. Each game session is like a 45 minute movie with you and 3 buddies -- and you absolutely have to help each other. There's no way around it. If you get stranded alone for more than a few seconds, you could be dead.

It's pretty fun mowing down a horde of crazed zombies with an AR15.

when you play advanced difficulties, team play is absolutely 100% necessary. one shithead can throw things way off. as far as gore is concerned, you don't really notice it, too busy killing everything that moves. and everything is moving...

You are forgetting about the best part.

You can also play as Zombies!

There are 4 types you can play.

1 - Hunter that jumps like a fuckin ninja and when attacking a survivor, he (the survivor) has to be helped, otherwise he's dead

2 - Boomer is a big fat guy that vomits on everyone, causing a horde of zombies to go get the survivors. If he explodes near you (you shoot him), this also causes a horde to come

3 - Smoker is this guy that hangs out in trees and has a long tongue he uses to grab people from the far

4 - Tank is the rarest to appear. It's basically a Zombie Gorilla that throws shit aruond and causes complete Mayhem. The survivors have to work together to get this guy, shoot him at the same time.

Ok, now I need to get work done :)
