Stimulus checks are a waste of money. The first one I recall hearing about was when Jesse Ventura did it. All the poor saps that thought their $100 (or whatever it was) was a great deal.

That money was a lot more valuable en masse than it would ever be as a stimulus.

The Canadian government is so full of shit it's not even funny. Worse than George Bush. Seriously, watch them, they are worse. Everything they say is almost the exact opposite of the truth.

No one in Canada is suggesting surplus checks. The gov are just turning everyone's words around. They were one day away from having their government toppled and replaced with a left wing coalition (left wing parties control their parliament), and now they are doing a 180 on three separate policies to save their asses.
