Is youtube finally admitting most of their content is stolen?
 

Youtube now has widescreen videos.

I interpret this change as such: "Most of our user-created content is 4:3, but since most users upload stolen content, we opted for the 16:9 ratio instead"

I was considering making all my videos 16:9 but didn't since most user-created videos are 4:3 format I didn't. Maybe I should re-think that.

Thoughts?

Whether their switch to widescreen is an admission of anything (I tend to think its not)...even still - when the mainstream establishment condones the presence of YouTube and acknowledges the site as a lucrative advertising/traffic medium...I can't see any repercussions against YouTube in the near future.

People who initially denounced YouTube as a source of piracy are now embracing it as a viable venue for their own promotion and exposure.
