Do you put Xmas lights on your house?
 

Doing some holiday decorating this year, and I realized we haven't done the lights on the house yet.

The first year here, we wrapped a palm tree all crazy with lights and couldn't get the damn things off almost. :1orglaugh

Does anyone go crazy with light and decoration displays on their house?

yeah xmas lights + palm trees equal bad idea, i learned hard way lol

haha I just woke up and thats my plans for today, went out and bought 2x more lights for this year.

I don't want to put a bunch of nails in the house though, but might give it a shot this year. It is a lot of work though it seems.

I love seeing those insane house displays though, some people go absolutely crazy with decorating their homes at xmas time!

I think we're going to go see the Al Copeland house light thing too, since this will be the last year since he died. I'll take pics. :)

We have so many lights, a family member gave us a bunch brand new.

We even have mardi gras colored lights, maybe we'll use those and keep them up til then. hahaha that almost sounds ghettoooo

nope, I won't get on our roof to put them up.

hell naw, and i lol x 10 to those suckers who leave em on year round.. used to have a neighbor that did that we all called her ms america, she was ideal mom. lol

yes we go crazy with them...a few hundred to a few thousand on the house each year, depending on what died since last year sitting in the attic LOL

I did yesterday and it has penguins everywhere!!!!!!

I love christmas light decorating. I am going to get my lights out in a few days and start untangling them and checking the bulbs. I hate that part but I have fun putting them up and almost killing myself. The ladder, ice, electricity... it's scary and fun.

i live in an apartment so i go all out on th balcony... we also get a real tree none of that fake crap

I want to go nuts and light up the whole house since it's so friggen dark and dreary on the beach all the time

For the first 4 or 5 years after I bought my house, I had a company out of Portland come up and do the 12 large trees around the front of my house in white minilights and the roofline and gutters with red and green. (not climbing on my roof that's got areas that are over 40' from the ground).

Stopped doing that a few years back. Not that many others in the neighborhood were doing theirs and I found the money could be better spent elsewhere. We just do the inside now. Tree went up yesterday, but the decorating is a little bit here and a little bit there over the course of a few days.

My house is nowhere near the road and can't be seen. I put up lights inside the house for my daughter though.

Am I crazy or have you posted pics of a xmas tree in the past? I recall hot chick in front of a tree baddog pics. But maybe it was someone else.

Indoor lights yes, outdoor lights still unsure.

Good memory. I put up a tree one year, specifically for that shoot. I will put up a tree again when someone wants to use my house for a shoot again.

Well apparently we now have garland and a wreath up outside. Guessing soon there will be lights.

With this economy, i think many will cut down...

Several people in my neighborhood have lights on thier house now. I live in a pretty upscale neighborhood, so I'm guessing they would still decorate regardless of what the economy is doing.

People always have xmas lights, even I own some.

I live in a deed restricted villa and we're not aloud to have shit outside including a grill. However I decorate for every holiday. Even the little ones lol. But as far as Christmas lights go I put them along the inside of the window.

No lights, no tree, nothing. I think until the day I got a kids, xmas won´t exist for my at my own home.

We threw a couple of strands on the porch but since we dont face the street, we are the only ones that see them. So I did not go over board. Going to add more stuff in the living room this year though.

No lights yet!

i used to, but haven't since I moved to my new home.

I change the bulbs on my outdoor floods to red and green. Quick and easy.
