I may have met the dumbest bank teller ever.
 

I got a letter from the bank saying that they were deducting $73.16 from the deposit I made the other day. I thought that was a little strange since I never fill out deposit slips so the teller is the one that actually tallies the amount for me.

Upon closer inspection I noticed that the deposit was exactly 8500 which was odd, because I remembered that there were checks that ended in odd numbers, so I am sure I would have remembered if the teller had said, "the total is 8500." Then it hit me.

When the guy was doing the paperwork and adding he asked me if I knew how much was there. I said, "probably about 85."

He said, the total was 84 something.

I said, "that is close enough, go ahead and round it up to 85."

I can't believe he actually did it.

must be nice...my bank has a guy with the same first/last name plus middle initial...about once a year they deposit my deposit into his account...happened like 10 years in a row and never a deposit from his account to mine:disgust
