Experts in here, i need a little hand in coding ;D

Hey guys, needing a hand in here.
As some of you may know, i decided to quit everything and start travelling the world for 2-3 years starting from this feb. I've also began making a website where i plan to write the updates on where i am and made it in simple html and css. What i'd need a hand in is this: To update the site, i need FTP access, and obviously, i wont be taking my laptop with me, so id need to install an FTP client in each internet cafè i visit..? I want to know if theres a sort of "no install" ftp program i can run from a cd? or maybe integrating a blog system into the html body of the site, so i can write without FTP hassles. Online file managers suck for me, and wont be using them =P any thoughts? |

get wordpress and set it up to use a secret email account
then it updates the site when you send that acct an email |

if the existing websites' server is able to run PHP/MySQL, theres a few ways you can utilize wordpress to get what you need. might require some file renaming and a couple of wordpress tricks but nothng major
would need to see the website to know for sure what needs to be achieved |

how does one get free hosting from godaddy?
nm, looks like it's "ad supported", thought they give hosting now a days for just having "Hosted for free by GoDaddy.com " in the footer... |

You can pick up one of those sandisk titanium usb drives. These allow you to install programs so they run mobile right off the usb pen drive without installing anything.

Portable Apps and 2+ GB USB or Flash drive or some sort.
Everything you need right here: http://portableapps.com/ |

just go to mycomputer and type in:
FTP://[email protected] You can also do: FTP://YOURUSERNAME:[email protected] but i DO NOT recommend it on a shared PC. Then drag and drop! The other option is to get a shell account somewhere - nice thing about putty is even on locked down pcs you can normally get it to run by clicking run instead of save. Then you can use that for your text editor and then scp/ftp it up to your server. While im at it, you could also use FTP via command prompt: Open command prompt and type: FTP o yourhostname.tld yourusername yourpassword Standard FTP commands apply here (LS,GET,PUT etc) Just a few options - good luck in your travels! |

Thanks for the suggestion guys =)
