Tube Sites Question
 

It's been a long fucking time since I made money in the adult industry, I have moved on to mainstream years and years ago after my 700 dollar per day Yahoo Chat Room, 3 dollar per free join to AFF dried up, BUT what in the fuck is with these tube sites?

I vividly remember everyone all pissed off about TGP's and MGP's and the world is coming to an end with the free content etc.. Holy fuck, some of these tubes have 1000's upon 1000's of 15-20 minute full length movies, where is this going and is it truely a money making venture? Just curious really, I like to pop in from time to time checking on the new fads.

Oh ya still make about 3k a month from a few webmasters that have sent 200,000 or so members to AFF under me. Thanks Guys :pimp

In the future only a select few sponsor run tubes will make any money in this industry and affiliates will be pushed out.

I guess I dont see the angle, just from the outside looking in, these video sites are fucking huge. The real kicker to me is, they are using a great player, maybe flash or whatever, but there is literally no wait time, no buffer time, no cut at 30 seconds with a join link somewhere, not a fuckin thing. I could as joe surfer just hang out daily on 1 site alone and never get bored. If this industry is still living on dumb surfers, that pool has to be shrinking massively everyday, I dunno just thinking out loud

I firmly believe there are a massive amount of affiliates making plenty of money, never doubt that for a second, its the tube site model I just dont understand. TGP's and MGP's from back in the day I get, these new video sites are crazy. Some have nothing more than simple ads for AFF, theres money in that still? Come the fuck on..

your right, and i'm thinking the exact same thing. you'll never get a straight answer though that the tubes are killing ratios and the industry. another excuse is only freeloaders go to those sites and they wouldn't pay a penny for porn, etc..., etc... it's the economy not the tubes, etc...

the bullshit reasons just go on and on....

i think most webmasters saying this kind of stuff don't have large amounts of traffic and can't feel the effects of the tubes.

don't get me wrong, the legit tubes with just the preview clips are fine. the tubes with the 5+ minute clips are the ones that are fucking up the industry as a whole. if you think about it a tube site is just an MPG.

Ya there just MGP's, but original MGP's back in the day sucked ass comparatively, bunch of gallerys with 30 sec clips, these full length scenes are right there. I looked at redtube, holy fuck 8500+ movies, 100's of 15 minute movies. Umm I am lost but thats par for the course :)

you aren't lost. your just confused why they give everything for free now, and it's because they don't give a fuck about the industry and just want all the surfer traffic and to make their money. having a tube site with all those free full-length movies does wonders for word of mouth advertising and getting your site viral. but it still fucks up the industry as a whole, but no one seems to give a fuck.

that is how a tube should be run in my opinion and there would be no issues. it's just an MPG in tube format. but sites like that have trouble competing with the 30+ minute tubes that are fucking up the industry.

I understand the shortsighted effects, I was under the spell of the yahoo chat rooms with the bots. It was retarded money, so fucking easy, didnt last that long though so i understand it I guess

That one is understandable

niche tube sites will do very well.... just think about it, tube sites are instant gratification. you dont need to dl mpgs and open up players to watch it, you dont need to wait around for torrent or rapidshare file to complete, and worse have to extract all the files.

Ya im trying to figure out how they do well when there is no incentive for the surfer but to sit there and watch full length scenes, unless these are 30 second scenes.

well the bigger tube sites are making quite a bit of revenue from ads....

as long as you have the traffic, you can make some money.

it depends on the tube site as well. you'd be surprised how much surfers are willing to share their goods. basically, if you have the server costs down, the tube site runs itself.
