domain availablilty
hey anyone know a services that i can submit a list of domains to so i check to see if any are available?
better yet anyone know how i query the database via php.... are there any services that will export a search results as xml? answers to either question will be greatly appreciated :thumbsup |
You can do whois queries yourself.
It's been a long time but I think if you send a telnet connection to a whois server (port 43 me thinks) then send it the base domain name it'll return a response. Regardless of the port it would be similar to connecting to an apache server through fsockopen on PHP to get the HTTP headers of a page. Check on sourceforge...I'm 99% positive there's been a PHP based whois solution built there...if not, I know perl has one on CPAN...that is of course unless you feel like doing the work yourself =) |
cool thanks man :thumbsup
