which hosts offer migration
I want to move my shit over to a new host, but so many script installations, config files, etc with 43425 files, 54 MySql Db, 80 domains, 8 sub domains and I'm consuming about 9 to 10% CPU..
This is going to be a headache for me.. :1orglaugh So, which virtual hosts do migration for new customers? |
I think Webair does.
|
you ever consider a dedicated server?
i can get you running on a dedi for $69/month What control panel are you using now? |

Spacedog,
hit me up, ICQ in sig, we can get you migrated no problem, this is routine stuff for us :) |
yeah i would assume most hosts worth their salt would be able to help you with this.
it should be a standing offer by now i like these two hosts www.oc3networks.com and www.oxeo.com maybe one of them can handle you |

1GB DDR RAM 80GB HDD+ 2000GB Bandwidth 100Mbps Network Port $69/month |
if you have cPanel on both boxes it can be very easy to do.
(and if sites are not over 2gb each) |
Hey TidalWave :)
Your services are UNmanaged right? Just asking because I referred someone to you the other day that my pricing was a little high for, because we only offer full managed servers. But, you do intially do entire migration/transfers for new customers? Just no support after that or? |
We do both -- unmanaged and managed servers. Management is $29/month addon for any server.
Yup, we will do migrations for new customers too. Also, even with our unmanaged its not as drastic as "no support", we definitely help all our customers out even if unmanaged -- no one is left out in the cold, ever. Thanks for referral Kacy!!! :thumbsup |
If you really expect any virtual host to do a true migration of all your scripts then you will be disappointed.
|
spacedog you should take up that tidlewave, magg, chris or who ever he is. That deal is the cheapest of the cheap for a dedicated server that you will find. Even if it's an old used server it is still a good deal, I say go for it dog..:2 cents:
|
you could just do a recursive wget on your new server by SSH, which will automatically download all the files to new server.
as for mysql, just export it as SQL file, and copy paste that through phpmyadmin. |
