Hello Everyone,

On Saturday, November 9th, from 11 am - 2 pm, the KKK and other
organizations will be holding a rally at the Turlington Plaza. The
Multicultural Cabinet, STARR, Jewish Student Union and other organizations
will be protesting this activity. Furthermore, the KKK got permission from
the City of Gainesville to rally on University Avenue. It's true that in
America, everyone has the right of speech, the KKK is utilizing their rights
and so should we. The University of Florida embodies and represents
diversity and culture, and it is blasphemy to have the KKK to assault any
one group on campus. It you want to help in the protest, please come to the
Reitz Union Colonnade at 10 am on Saturday to make posters and signs. Many
organizations will be out at Turlington during the day, so please come and
join in on the protest.

When I was living in Florida several years back we were running an account in St. Cloud and myself and my black co-worker rolled right into the middle of a pretty large KKK rally.

He hit the floorboard pretty damn quick. He was totally freaking out. We were in a van so they couldn't see him though.

I hope it won't turn out to be a bloody event, I know couple of people planning on going there to protest KKK. I may go there too, just to see what's up with this fucking assholes.

I wonder if I had an all white fraternity, if the civil rights groups would protest it?

About 5 years ago the KKK got a permit for a rally in Manhattan. However NYC has a very old law that simply states you can not rally in hoods. Needless to say the original 1000 KKK Members dwindeled to about 20 assholes in white gowns, being protested by 10,000 pissed off New Yorkers. I wasn't there but I saw the highlights. No violence broke out, but you couldn't hear the KKK over the protesting chants. hehe
