Can WP be used without the "dates"
I need to put a site up for a on campus club and WP has a lot of good features I want to use but the only problem is the blog style dates really take away from the site.
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance |
I'm sure you can go in and adjust the template/css to hide it.
Maybe add this <style> p-who-date { display:none; } </style> in your html header somewhere. or you might need to put a . or # infront of the p-who-date. I don't really know wordpress but i took a quick look at one, so might work. |
do you have ICQ?
|
Yes it can be done. there are lots of themes that are that way.
ICQ me on Monday if you have not gotten this worked out, and I will help you out. |
Righto to pornguy:
http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ will have some themes of all kinds to try out. You can also edit any theme in your wordpress setup as well and just remove the entry. You can also change your "permalinks" to reflect keywords and not dates - an examples i sometimes use is: "/%category%/%postname%/" permalinks is under "options" in wp-admin. hope this helps... |
just check your wordpress files, main index template and post template will probably both have a place where it adds the recent date - make backups and take guesses, if it says date in it its probably the place it calls the date and adds it - just remove that and any theme can be switched to one without a date!
