Yup just came back from just south of Tn just across the Alabama line from shooting a wedding in Huntsville. One fucking thirty eight a gallon. I shit you not. 1.38 USD :thumbsup

Ya weird day for it on a Friday. My biz partner and I shoot weddings occasionally. I do video he does stills. Made for a long ass day, but was fun. We are actually pushing to do more right now. Decent money for the work.

Yeah, there's a place about 30 miles from here that's selling it for $1.60 per gallon and it's $1.91 locally. I never thought I'd ever see it this low. I wonder when it's gonna stop dropping ?? I just fear that with it this low, they're gonna totally cut back production to raise those prices back up.

If it keeps dropping oh well. Nothing to be worried about. As you said if they cut production the price should come back up. So what is to fear? the price may get to low that they raise it back to what your paying now?

haha, I was hoping lol, but nah was a really great family. I had a blast. Shittiest part was the reception was on a military base. Little known fact... If you don't have a current up to date insurance card you cannot enter the base.. :Oh crap So my partner has a 2008 car that is fully covered but we didn't even know the reception was on a military base. Normally he makes sure shit like that is right, but somehow he had the expired card in the glove box by accident. So we had to go park the car and move our equipment to one of the wedding parties car to even get onto the base. lol Seems silly, but doesn't matter who you are, or why you need to get in there. You won't get on base without everything being 100% correct. ID's, registration, and insurance card, or your ass is leaving. lol So was a little crazy for about 15 minutes till we figured out what to do. lol

But everything worked out and we made it to the reception on time lol.

It's 1.77 right across the street from me. I had to drive to Knoxville yesterday and saw 1.71. But my mouth dropped when I saw 1.38. I would LOVE to see it drop to .99

It's fun since the price of oil dropped from 147 to 50 USD the price of gas here dropped only about 25 pct. so I guess some guys are probably making a killing here!

About 6,50 USD / gallon now.

I am really happy that gas has gone down, it's about 1.75 ish as of today.

A few weeks ago I would have been happy to see it at any price, we were totally out of gas round here for a couple of weeks

It is not all good news. Fuel prices are a leading economic indicator and the dramatic decline is evidence that we are seeing a substantial economic slowdown.

Supply and demand and there is rapidly declining demand because the economy is screeching to a halt.

Truckers who had difficulty with $4 fuel now have cut their expenses in half but they do not have goods to ship.

come on guys the prices drop like this every time this year, nothing to do with politics or the election. Demand goes down since summer is the "driving season" and refineries get to save some money by not having to put those summer additives in the fuel and pass that savings to the consumer *gasp*

You're wrong, prices don't cut in half simply from reduced demand. We used to go from ~$1.99 to $1.69 due to seasonal changes but I just bought gas at $1.64 when I remember filling up at $4.5 this summer. average gas prices for prolonged periods of time were ABOVE $4 so it wasn't just hurricane spikes or anything like that. Prices gradually went up over a year or more and are now WAY cheaper than they were during the summer periods.

This is NOT just seasonal demand dropping the price. There are a ton of other very bad things behind this.
