I was looking a month or two back. Most who contacted me I had never heard of. There were a few others who did, but their asking price was very high without something to prove to me WHY they would be worth that.

In the long run, looks like it will be better to develop within, or partner up with another on joint projects.

the ones that you would actually want to hire would never respond back to you after reading this post, and the ones that do respond are most likely the ones you should stay away from.

"SE Guru" is Darin Babin. He owns/runs Webmaster Radio. He does refer to himself that way, and based on SEO lore. He has been in the online game since it began. Along with Todd the Oilman, and Web Guerrilla.

However, when I do check out his show, 'Rainmaker', on WMR. He is always bitching about some bill he did not pay, and they cut off his power, internet, cell phone, or some other thing and calling out the workers he talked to on some ridiculous play-by-play of events.

If I have not heard it a half dozen times before over the years. It might be funny.
