Just found my new sport to keep me in shape
This shit looks like it would be a blast!
http://www.runandroll.com/freebords/...en_DC_1-hi.mov Combine snowboarding with regular skateboarding...and this is what you have....when you just can't find the time to make it to the slopes..! |

What kind of stupid are you? That beast clearly has six wheels. Normal wide skateboard trucks with clear wheels, and 2 swivel caster wheels underneath. The two center wheels are just a tad taller than the skateboard wheels so basically he's using the skateboard wheels more like training wheels. They just drag when going sideways. Watch the video again in Quicktime and pause it at 30 seconds, then pause it at 39 seconds. 6 wheels. Go to McMaster-Carr.com and look up casters. Some casters can support a thousand lbs or more, and even have spring shocks in them. aaaaaahhhhhh ssspprriiiinngg ssshhhoockksss.... |
Found out that it's made by a company called "Freebord"...guess where they're located at??.. Yep..San Francisco....
www.freebord.com and about $200 per board...now where is my credit card! :) extra wide skate trucks with the two middle caster wheels...you slow down by riding the 'edges' (back wheels) or a powerslide as if on a regular skateboard.... Guess I'll be driving to SF on the weekends! Later |
