One time my church sent some missionaries to help out a couple of villages in Burma. Fuckers got taken hostage, so we had to hire some mercenaries to go in and get them out. Turns out that the fucking boat driver knew more than the fuckers we hired.

Not in the Third World. I live in the Philippines and many provincial hacienda ruling class patrons have their own private army. Of course, 'private army' is a bad word, you get the drift :)
