In a traditional ground war, it isn't bombs or bullets that account for most of the casualties, it's artillery. However, the age of artillery may have come to an abrupt end:

as an artnlleryman, i can tell you there are many more things we do than just the cannon projectiles... at least the Forward Observers... The gun bunnies, they Pull String, go BOOM... ANd it would be forever when our enemies had the technology to stop our arty

like all tech, there will be a way to reduce its effectiveness, even if it means just finding a way to blind or disable them

make artillery rounds more like disco balls and laser problem solved :)

it would take some fuckin strong mirror to be able to reflect such high-powered lasers. You'd end up with very very expensive artillery shells

what the fuck...

but imagine the damage over a battlefield - it would be like the dawn nightclub scene in dusk till dawn :)
